OK, its up, you’ve registered it with the search engines, you’ve tested it and you are getting visitors. You are all done, right? Nope, now comes the fun part of maintaining your site. Remember that a web site is always under construction. Let it sit for a month with no updates or changes, and you might have not even bothered. Look for things to make your visitors come back to your site, information, coupons, and free stuff. Use your creativity, what would make someone come back or bookmark your site. And you thought publishing a monthly newsletter was a pain? Now you have two of them!

Sounds like a lot of work doesn’t it? It is, don’t let anyone tell you that putting up a web site is easy. Creating a bad web site is not easy. Putting up a useful, simple web site is a surprisingly complicated task. And then you have to maintain it. Are the benefits worth the investment of time and money?
